Community Engagement

Community Development

Centacare FNQ partners with local communities and organisations to develop projects that promote healthy connected communities that reflect and support dignity, equality and participation.

Our Community Engagement team create community development projects that address issues related to one or more of the following:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Education and Employment
  • Social Cohesion

Professional Development, Training and Supports

We want to assist organisations to provide accessible culturally appropriate services to Cairns multicultural communities. In order to do so, we provide a range of sector development training and tools. We also provide training and workshops for schools and organisations wishing to learn more about the refugee journey. All our professional development, training and workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of individual organisations and schools.

Contact the Centacare FNQ on (07) 4242 1058 to discuss your needs.

Research, Networks and Advocacy
